When Nikki got a dog walking gig as a college student in Boston, she found herself really looking forward to spending time with all the different personalities in her route.  She recurited Sue to join her on her one day off from work. Together we realized that we loved animals and that "working" with them didn't feel like work at all.

Five years ago we planted our roots in Union County and opened Faux Paws Pet Care. Taking care of our clients' four legged family members while they were at work or away on vacation became our full-time business. Caring for every pet as if he or she were our own got us thinking about taking our love one step further--opening a one stop wholesome pet shop for all our clients.

Why Food? When our Boxer Yogi was diagnosed with cancer it inspired us to research and educate ourselves about the importance of a holistic diet for pets.

We learned the difference between surviving on a generic diet and thriving on a wholesome diet. We became very passionate about good nutrition and now only choose the best foods for our pets. Doing our part to care for the environment is a high priority so we try to insure that we have a great selection of eco-friendly pet products.
